Twin Lakes Quilt- Team Modern or Team Scrappy

Are you team modern or team scrappy when it comes to quilting?  Do you love the look of repeating blocks in a limited palette for an overall minimal look or maybe you prefer the look of a variety of unique blocks dancing around your quilt and shining with their own personality.  If you're like me, you couldn't possibly choose a team because you love them both so much and it just depends on day and your mood!

The Twin Lakes Quilt Pattern is a modern quilt pattern for the confident beginner. I love the design and enjoyed making a variety of both versions.  I am so proud of this pattern and can't wait to see what beautiful versions of it you all make.  There are lovely kits available at Binded with Love and The Grey Finch Co!

Twin Lakes - Modern Version

The modern version created with yardage and a repeating, identical block, makes for a very clean and minimal look.  I love making this version because it's fast and easy and the results are stunning.  There are so many possibilities for gorgeous color palettes that emphasize a variety of secondary shapes throughout the design.  The possibilities are endless.  Just grab the pattern, find your favorite color palette, and get to quilting.

Twin Lakes- Scrappy Version

Who doesn't love a scrappy quilt?  I mean a chance to cut up some of your favorite FQs or stash fabrics and sew them into pretty little blocks... what's not to love? With the Twin Lakes Quilt Pattern, you can choose the Modern version, shown above, or the Scrappy.  All the blocks are unique and different, with their own personality and flavor.  When they all come together in one quilt, the results are super sweet and always, one of a kind.

I would consider this version to be a bit more challenging and best suited for the more advanced beginner.
